Spring Forward
as a
Community Health Worker

This course is accredited (No. 022-2024-G) by the Maryland Department of Health to provide essential skills for those who wish to become certified community health workers in the State of Maryland. In this training, we not only focus on the skills but we give attention to the version of us that shows up when we do our work. We will reflect upon our internal environment (mindset, beliefs, biases, etc.) as well as our communities. Special topics covered include violence prevention and father-inclusive perinatal services.​

Format: In person, online, and hybrid options

Requirements: 109.5 hours in class and a 40-hour field experience

Students completing the course will also have CPR and Mental Health First Aid certifications
